Oh my what can we say,  we just love walking on the Windham Path.  It is scenic mountain views that take my breath away.  It's so peaceful and zen-like walking on the path.  The rolling, crystal clear streams, the birds chirping and the easy walking path that is so comfy underfoot.  It's a wonderful place to walk for fitness, relaxing or just sitting on one of the many benches along the path taking in the views and nature that surrounds you.  We fell in love with Windham  35 years ago.  Living and working in the city is all good, but having an escape in Windham has added years on to our lives.  It's the perfect piece of heaven for busy New Yorkers.

Things to Do in Upstate New York

Well, there are plenty of things to do in upstate New York.  One of our favorites is horseback riding.  Horseback riding in Upstate NY is a wonderful activity for the whole family. Imagine riding a horse through mountain scenic views enjoying the beauty of nature at its finest.  Farms and ranches are just a short drive away from our condo. Many of the farms and ranches offer short rides or an all-day adventure, there are outfitters in the area ready to take you on a guided trail ride. For  small children, pony rides are available in small riding areas are also and make for a wonderful memory.

Bear Creek LandingJust down the road from Hunter Mountain is Bear Creek Landing where you can find a variety of summer and winter activities as well as a restaurant. Arrange for a guided trail ride with their horses along the creek and among the mountains.

Bailiwick Ranch & Discovery Zoo
This horseback riding ranch provides a variety of trail rides ranging from just a ½ hour to all day. They are even open year round where riders can experience the quiet peacefulness of a delicate forest snowfall on horseback. At just 30 minutes from our Condo,

K&K Equestrian Center
Just 25 minutes away at Ravine Farm, K&K offers ½ hour and 1 hour rides through the scenic forest and is open year-round. There is also a petting zoo that is perfect for kids where they can feed farm animals like goats, lambs, bunnies, and more.
